Block Puzzle Tips: How to Win a 1v1 Block Duel
In TBlock Duel both players get the exact same pieces, so a win comes from how you place them, not from luck. These tips come straight from how the game works.

1. Burst lines early
Every burst clears space and scores points, and bursts you bank can be spent on attacks. A board that stays open lets you keep making moves longer than your rival.
2. Save three bursts for an Ice Strike
An Ice Strike costs 3 banked bursts and freezes 5 cells on your rival's board. A Block Barrage costs 2 and drops junk blocks. Time them when your rival's board is already crowded.
3. Clear around frozen cells
Frozen cells cannot be used until they thaw. Burst a line next to ice to thaw it (this is how Level 8, Ice Age, works), and place pieces so a line completes beside the frozen cells.
4. Keep a Shield or Cleanse ready
Every attack has a counter. A Shield blocks the next attack, and Cleanse thaws ice after it lands. If your rival has banked bursts, assume an attack is coming.
5. Learn each level's rule
Every level changes the rules. In Level 7, Double Up, two lines at once score 4 points, so set up two lines and complete them together. Read the rule shown at the start of each level.
6. Practise against the AI
The AI needs no account, so use it to try attacks and the level rules before you play a friend with a match code or find a player online.
7. Use the daily challenge
The daily challenge gives everyone a new set of pieces each day, so you can compare your score with friends on the same board.
